Reformed Evangelism

Reformed EvangelismThe only reason there is a need to make a distinction between evangelism & Reformed evangelism is because preachers & Christians in general have moved so far afield from what evangelism used to be that it is necessary to insert the word "Reformed" simply to wake people up to what has happened.  George Whitefield popularized the idea1 "Jesus loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life" but this isn't the message that was preached by the original Christians or even the first Protestant/Reformed Christians -- The Gospel message is REPENT & BELIEVE (Mark 1:14-15) & how will anyone repent or  believe unless first they realize a need to do so.

Listen to this 40 minute podcast with Tim Micer of seeking4truth.com as he explains the difference between the watered down & false evangelism that you often hear today & Reformed...or better yet BIBLICAL EVANGELISM.

1 = original article said Whitefield popularized the phrase, but rather Whitefield popularized the concept of God's love & purpose for individuals instead of for the Church.  It was more than likely, Bill Bright with his "Four Spiritual Laws" that actually popularized the phrase.
