2008-2012 The World Under Obama
The Bible does clearly show that God decrees/predestines ahead of time things for His own glory (Isaiah 46:10) YET at the same time God wants us to call evil evil & good good. (Isaiah 5:20) We should still oppose evil even if God uses those things to bring about His own glory.
The Obama election is indeed historic. He is the first bi-racial president of the United States, as Obama is only half black (we'll have to wait for the REAL first black president -- Oh God let him or her be a conservative). I have no doubt the Obama presidency will be different than almost all American presidencies as Obama has publicly shown himself not to be restricted by the Constitution & even questions the Constitution's ability to bring about the kind of "change" his election campaigned on. But the Obama election will bring about some long needed truths. Obama is overtly friendly to the enemies of America. So, if those enemies continue to be hostile with Obama at the helm, perhaps some people will wise up & realize our enemies don't just hate us because of "Bush" or because of the Republicans. Another truth will be this ongoing false premise that the black person in America can't do the same things a white person can. Now, a half-black person has reached the highest office in the land. However, I would argue that that false premise should have been busted when the first black man ran the United Nations, not just one nation but over the entire world (see Kofi Annan). This idea that America is basically racist has been an on going lie. Perhaps now it will stop. Another possibily positive side-effect of the Obama election is that once people see what raw socialism looks like, maybe some people will stop desiring it & get back to being Americans. America tried socialism at its very founding & it failed (see Jamestown socialism) & so instead we adopted the biblical principle of a man taking care of his own. (see 2 Thes 3:10 & 1 Tim 5:8) Obama & his pie-in-sky supporters may have won the day but reality will set in. They will have to deal with the harshness of the world. Life is not a fairy-tale. There is a constant stuggle going on. (Eph 6:12) Yet God is STILL in heaven & Christ is STILL King. Amen & amen. UPDATE: Several Left-wing socialistic Christian "news" organizations I sent this article to, replied by affirming their support for Obama & asking to be removed from future mailings. Thus, another positive side-effect of the Obama election will be to show the real intention/face of some of these so-called "Christian ministries" which are actually humanistic organizations wrapped up in Christian clothing.
