Rapture

Good Morning Fred, thanks for the info.

My intent concerning ecshatology was not it's value in salvation, but rather the influence and impact of it on our (my) understanding of the whole of scripture as it relates to our relationship with our King Jesus i.e. what he has revealed of himself and his dealings with us and sinful humanity, and the need to search and prove by the scriptures. I agree with you that christians want to be right, and that there will proably be factions and debates on and on, i guess we just keep digging and praying.

About the Noah account, my intent was/is two fold reguarding the silence or lack of writing post A.D. 70

1. Throughout scripture there has always been a remnant. It would seem to me that a taking away or Rapture would be contridictive to that teaching

2. If an argument could be made for a rapture due to silence, it would seem that the flip side of that could be that there was no need to write due to the judgement of God, relieving the persecuted church, which was a major theme of the N/T.

i'm still digging, God Bless Randy
