How Do We, the Future Generations, Fit Into God’s Plan?Future generations in the New Testament were called the “Ages to Come”. Today we are the Ages to Come and we are also included in “all generations forever and ever.” Here are God’s promises specifically for you and I today: 1. In the Ages to Come every sin will be forgiven except speaking against the Holy Spirit: Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. (Matthew 12:31,32) 2. The Ages to Come will have eternal life: Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life... (Mark 10:29,30, See also Luke 18:29,30) 3. The Ages to Come will know the surpassing riches of His grace: And raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (2 Ephesians 6,7) 4. The glory of the church and in Christ Jesus is for all generations forever and ever: Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20,21) 5. Jesus will never desert you, nor will he ever forsake you because he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," so that we confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?" Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:9-,8) 6. The glory, majesty, dominion and authority of Jesus Christ our Lord is before all time and now and forever: Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
